The aroma of this whiskey is cinnamon, pencil shavings, clove, and charred oak. Lots of varied dried fruit. The palate has a rich oily body, with some nice corn at the centre.  There is a core of sweetness which works well. The finish has charred oak, cherries, cinnamon, even some gooseberry (without the tartness) and apple skin.
